Description:

Located in the northeast corner of a cubiculum was a shrine. This consisted of a niche with a stucco aedicula façade. The façade consisted of a heavy projecting base on which two engaged columns sat. Above these sat a pediment that no longer survives. The aedicula façade was outlined in thick red lines. The interior of the niche was decorated with scattered green leaves and red and yellow flowers. Within the flowers were flying cupids. This was carried out on a white background, with the decoration present on all interior walls of the niche.
