Description:
On the west wall of a room (room 9) in the centre of the house was a cult painting. The painting was fragmentary, with the Lar on the left being the most perserved. Also visible was a Genius sacrificing on an altar with the help of a camillus, who was holding taeniae. The central scene was flanked by the Lares, with garlands stretching across the top of the scene. Holes in the plaster above the scene indicate that real garlands were hung across the painting. Fröhlich dated the painting to the third style as a nail was present near the heads of the Lares and in the body of the Genius indicated that the painting was not in use as a cult space during the last phase of the house.
