Description:
On the west wall of the atrium was an irregular arched niche. The niche sat 1.50m above the floor. The interior of the niche was coated in white stucco and was decorated with plants with red flowers. This decoration extended to the walls around the niche where further plants were added as well as a bird. Above the niche was a garland. On the left side of the niche was a fragmentary Lar. In the floor of the niche was a hole intended for the base of a statuette. No decoration survives today.
