Description:
Boyce argues that a cubiculum in the southeast corner of the house had been transformed into a cult room. Boyce described it as an "unusual" cult room as it had a mezzanine floor built at the height of 2.25m above the floor, which extended over half of the room. The walls of the room up to the mezzanine were decorated simply in the third style, however, this did not extend to the south wall. On the south wall were three arched niches, which sat around 1.50-55m above the ground. All of the niches were coated with white stucco. The back wall of the niches has fallen today. Considering the number of other cult spaces within the property, the cultic nature of this room is contentious.
