Located on the west wall of a storeroom at the northern end of the garden was a cult painting. The lower section consisted of a large painting depicting a pair of serpents meeting at a cylindrical altar. The altar was painted in red and yellow imitation marble. The serpents differed in size. On top of the burning altar was an offering of a pine cone. The upper zone contained a triple garland that hung down both sides of the scene, with a bird between the registers. Taeniae hung off the garlands.
