Description:
Located in the southeast of the villa was a Mithraeum (a cult room dedicated to the god Mithras). The main room took the form of a long rectangular shape with a triangular altar in the centre at the southern end of the room. Another two altars were found in the room as well as fragments of sculptures. Benches were present as well as statue bases. Connecting the Mithraeum to the rest of the house was an irregularly shaped room where preparations for worship were made. Stairs connect the front room to the main cella, indicating that the room was semi-underground.
