Description:
Located in the tablinum (room 15) in the southern wing of the villa was a marble altar. The altar had an inscription to Jupiter Optimus Maximus on its front face. This inscription also named the owner of the house (Cornelius). Due to its inverted position seen when excavated, it is believed that the altar was originally placed in a raised place, potentially in a niche.
