Description:
During reconstruction works on a nearby villa in the city, a cult building belonging to another villa was partially uncovered. Two of the walls remained in situ, joining at an acute angle, indicating that the room had a triangular shape. The room had a packed earth pavement with remains of stucco present on one of the walls. Inside the building, three altars were found. The central altar was the largest, flanked by two arulae. The central altar lacked an inscription, with its top formed into pulvini. It was coated in a layer of reddish stucco. The top portion of all three altars was blackened by fire. Its context within the wider property is unknown as the cult building was the only excavated structure. The altars are now housed in the cult room of the nearby Casa de la Fortuna.
