Aediucla, Podium
Description:
In the north west corner of room D was an aedicula shrine. The structure has only been preserved in its base for the podium. A column fragment was also found in the room that is argued to have been used as the podium of the shrine. Also found in the room was a bronze head of a child, a bronze wine jug, a bronze relief of the head of Silenus, and pottery. It has recently been argued that the bronze face depicted the infant head of Dionysus.
