Description:

On the northern wall of the atrium was a small arched niche with accompanying cult painting. The niche sat 1.33m above the floor and its interior was painted a reddish brown colour with a scalloped edge. A brick tile, which had been coated in stucco and painted, projected from the base of the niche. Of the cult painting, only the upper register was preserved. This depicted two red serpents flanking the niche. Some plant material and a small garland were also visible in the scene. A red stripe bordered the painting and extended into a red square that sat over the curve of the niche.
