Description:
On the north wall of the garden was a cult space. This consisted of an arched niche that sat 1.15m above the floor. Beside the niche was a cult painting that featured the Lares and two serpents meeting at an altar. The painting was fragmentary by the time of Boyce’s recording and has since disappeared.
