Description:
In the north wall of the peristyle was a rectangular niche which sat 1.70m above the floor. On the back wall of the niche was painted a yellow cylindrical altar which sat on a rectangular base. Two green trees flanked the altar. Around the altar was wrapped a serpent with its head reaching for an egg on top of the altar. The niche was set into a rectangular painted panel on the wall which was outlined by a red stripe matching the one present around the opening and corners of the niche.
