Structural type:

Niche

Room function:

Commercial space (Hospitality)

Description:

Located on the south wall was a rectangular niche. The niche sat 1.65m above the floor. Photographs of the niche indicate that it likely once had a protruding base (now snapped off) with its interior coated in stucco. The remains of an infilled arched niche can be seen above, perhaps a previously used cult space. Even higher in the wall sat another two rectangular niches, although these may have belonged on the upper floor and so may have not interacted with the cult space.
