Description:
On the north wall of the atrium was a square niche that sat 1.75m above the floor. The niche was initially adorned with a stucco aedicula façade. The niche was also painted with red leaves on the interior, and on the outside, decorative motifs and a peacock. On the wall below was a pair of serpents meeting at an altar. The altar was painted in imitation marble and was furnished with offerings. Above the serpents was a garland. Only the niche survives today.
