Description:
Located on the eastern wall of the fauces was an arched niche, sitting 1.10m above the floor. The niche had a projecting masonry base with its interior walls coated in white stucco. The niche was outlined by red stripes. The wall beside the niche was also painted, depicting serpents at a bronze brazier with feline paws for its base. One of the serpents was depicted coiled around the brazier. The background of the scene was painted white and decorated with plants. Across the top of the scene were garlands hanging from painted nails. The dado below the painting was made to represent a threedimensional podium upon which the cult space seems to stand. The paintings were dated to the fourth style.
