Description:
Located on the east wall of the kitchen was a cult painting, opposite to the hearth. The top of the painting was decorated with painted taeniae hanging from garlands. The cult scene included five figures, however, the exact identification of theseis uncertain. Two appeared to be the Lares while another figure was shown with a cornucopia and sacrificing on a cylindrical altar, likely the Genius. The remaining two figures were unidentifiable, however, Orr suggested that one may represent the wife of the paterfamilias. In the lower section, a serpent and possibly an altar stood within plants.
