Description:
Located on the south wall of the thermpolium was a rectangular niche. The niche had been filled with rubble and so was not in use at the time of eruption. As the building has decayed, this rubble has fallen revealing that the interior of the niche was coated in multiple layers of white stucco. Perhaps decoration may be presevered under the rubble. The top of the niche has not been preserved.
