Cult Spaces:

Room function:
Viridarium/Garden
Description:
On the east wall of a large open room (perhaps the garden) were the remnants of a pair of arched niches. The niches had been filled prior to the eruption and so would not have been in use at the time. The outlines of the niches were evident from the remnants of stucco, which would have coated the interior of the niches. The niches sat high on the wall. The property was damaged in WWII and so the full context of these niches is uncertain.
