Niche

Room function:

Cubiculum/Bedroom

Description:

On the west wall of a cubiculum was a cult space. This took the form of an arched niche. The niche had a heavy projecting base. The entire structure was coated in white stucco. The niche appears to have been added to the room after it was decorated as it cuts through the wall decoration.
