Description:
On the west wall of the atrium was a rectangular niche. The niche sat close to the northern corner of the room and its interior was coated in stucco. The back wall of the niche was outlined by a thick black stripe. Along the bottom of the back wall were painted green plants with red flowers. Above this was a painted red stripe of alternating floral designs, almost like a painted version of an archtrave. The painting at the top of the back wall of the niche has been damaged and is no longer visisble. The niche had a slight projecting base.
