Description:
In the northwest corner of the atrium was a square niche. The niche sat 1.75m above the floor, sitting just above the hearth which was also located in the corner. The niche was set into a panel of white stucco and was outlined in red. Below the base of the niche was a projecting cornice. The back wall was a reddish brown colour which had a white object on it which was unrecognisable at the time of excavation. Below the niche garlands of red and green leaves were painted, with an altar furnished with offerings of pine cone underneath. Yellow serpents flanked the altar.
