Description:
On the north wall of the kitchen, near the hearth, was an arched niche. The niche sat 1.10m above the floor. Flanking the niche opening were painted altars, aflame, towards which a yellow serpent moved amongst plants and flowers. Remnants of red paint could be seen around the niche opening as well as framing the scene. No decoration remains on the niche today.
