In the west wall of the kitchen was an arched niche, sitting 1.15m above the floor. Its interior walls were coated with white stucco and decorated with painted red and yellow flowers. On the right of the niche was a cult painting. This was carried out on a white background and bordered by red stripes. In the upper register of the painting, now disappeared, was a Lar with two hams and an eel. The lower register featured a serpent moving towards an altar. A masonry altar was present below the niche. Only fragments of the decoration survive today.
