VII. vi. 30
Cult Space Type:
Shrine
Date:
79 A.D.
Features:
Niche
Associated
Cult Spaces:
-
Room function:
Atrium
Description:
In the atrium, on the east wall, was a tall rectangular niche. The niche sat 1.20m above the floor. The wall around the niche was divided off into a series of rectangles by dark stripes, in imitation of veneer slabs of marble. The property was partially destroyed in WWII and so the cult space is no longer preserved. A photo from the 1930s may show the cult space (but as it was labeled another as another house, it is uncertain if this is the correct shrine).
