Description:
Off the southwest corner of the second peristyle was a cult room (room 41). The room had an irregular rectangular plan and had been damaged in the earthquake of 62 A.D. The room was equipped with a rectangular niche set on top of a brick arch. The niche was yellow, with a red ceiling and stucco cornice. The walls of the room were polychrome and plastered white, while the floor was opus siginum with insertions of marble. tucco moulded cornice ran around the top of the room with a red painted border below.
