Description:

On the south wall of the room off the northeast side of the atrium (room 10) was an arched niche. The niche had a protruding base and its interior was painted white and decorated with a flowering bush and birds. The niche has been dated to the last phase of the house prior to the eruption. The layout of the property is uncertain and so the wider context of the cult space is uncertain.
