Description:

High up on the northern wall of the kitchen was a shrine. This took the form of a pseudo-aedicula with a central arched niche, flanked by two red pillars which support the top pediment. The cult space sat 3m above the floor. Stucco moulding decorated the outer arch of the niche and the back wall. During excavation, a terracotta altar was found within the niche.
