Description:
On the north wall of the kitchen beside the hearth was a cult painting. According to Giacobello, the cult space is comprised of a niche and cult painting, however, Boyce does not mention the niche and the cult space does not survive today. The painting depicted an altar in the centre with a serpent coiled around it. On the right stood a Genius, with the Lares flanking the scene. In the lower register, two serpents were meeting at an altar with offerings of fruit. To the right was a depiction of the river god Sarnus. The background was full of plants.
