Description:
Located off the north side of the peristyle was a cult room. The nature of the room has been determined from the contents found during excavation, including an arula, a terracotta dish, terracotta statuettes, and two pear-shaped jars with phallic decorations. These objects were all originally located on a wooden shelf that had collapsed during destruction of the building. The walls of the room were painted, the bottom portion of which survives. This consisted of a simple white background which was decorated by horizontal red lines forming a plinth. The floor was made from opus signinum. During the 2016 excavations, the skeleton of an infant was found buried under the floor of the room.
