Description:
Located in the north west corner of atrium was a rectangular niche. The niche is situated 0.33m above the current floor which is lower than the original, and so it likely initially sat at floor level. Its base and walls made from the same materials as the surrounding walls, being constructed of large irregular stones bound together with mortar and paved with gravel. No linings have been preserved.
