Description:
Located against the east wall of the cella vinaria (wine storeroom) was a cult space. This took the form of an aedicula, of which the base and columns were so well preserved that that structure could be mostly reconstructed. The structure comprised of a short moulded base which extended into a narrow central support with was decorated with stucco inset moulding. At the top of this, the structure widened, with the top of the base being carved into a moulded architrave. Several of the columns belonging to the structure were found nearby, indicating that they were circular with simple bands of moulding at the top instead of capitals. In the vicinity of the shrine, several artefacts were found including a large pitcher, a black kitchen pot, a votive amphora, a small bronze applique depicting Medusa, a bronze strainer pot, and a bronze cogwheel.
